My Role: Design Concept & Art Direction

In 2010 Andre and I were contacted by California based clothing brand UTB Life$tyle to do some work for their brand as well as for well known hip-hop artist Wiz Khalifa.  It was supppossed to be a sports themed design, so after some brainstorming I had an idea to use UTB Lifestyle’s logo and incorporate with Wiz Khalifa’s hometown baseball team, the Pittsburgh Pirates.  We then used the nickname for Wiz Khalifa’s massive fanbase “Taylors” and used that instead of “Pirates”.  Andre then went to work and came up with this amazing design that was an instant hit.

It has appeared in two of Wiz Khalifa’s official music videos (“Black & Yellow Remix” and “Taylor Gang”), which combined have had over 150,000,000 views on Youtube.  It was also worn through his Waken Baken world tour and was received by fans worldwide.
